Seeing animals on TV is one thing, but at the California Poppy Festival you can
get up close and personal with a variety of unique and beautiful animals including
reptiles, birds, and insects. Extraordinary birds will present precision aerial acrobatics
overhead three times daily.

Stroll through a shopper's paradise featuring more than 200 vendors and
thousands of handmade fine arts and quality crafts. What will you discover in
the Arts & Crafts Marketplace? There’s jewelry, handmade wooden toys,
glassware, aromatic soaps, silk floral pieces, denim clothing,
candles, stained glass, hats, artwork, wooden hammocks,
stoneware, baskets, dolls, quilts, children's clothing, leather

 Big Toys
The competition is all for fun in the Big Toys area where racing enthusiasts can race miniature remote-controlled NASCAR models sponsored by The Tire Store or see the latest cars from local auto dealers as well as some classic automobiles from the High Desert Cruisers. Come visit the Indy Honda Racing Dealer Display which features the IRL Indy Car of Danica Patrick, authentic drivers suits, a racing console featuring an X-Box 360 system, a custom race helmet, free photo opportunities, and a professional staff member to answer all of the race fans’ questions.  Flower & Farmers′ Market
If you have been waiting to start that garden, the
Farmers' Market is the place to visit. There is an incredible selection of
floral magic awaiting you with an array of fresh flowers,
assorted plants, decorative topiaries, bonsai trees, bamboo, wildflower
seeds, cacti, unique garden ornaments, and of course, colorful poppies.
Looking for tasty fruits and vegetables? There are homegrown
fruits and vegetables, almonds, nuts, roasted corn, olives, garlic, honey,
jams and jellies, salsa, gourmet spices, dressings, and various other delicious
products.
 Festival Foods
Eating at the Festival is an activity in itself. Patrons can choose
from a delectable array of tasty treats. From traditional fair foods,
like funnel cakes and kabobs, to exotic ethnic delicacies, even the
pickiest eaters will be delighted by the sumptuous array of food.
 Fine Arts
Visit special exhibits and artist demonstrations, purchase one of a kind art pieces, meet representatives from local arts organizations and explore AV art, culture and community. This interactive area offers hands-on workshops where you can gain ideas for
your garden and home décor. Discover beautiful water-efficient gardens with
Los Angeles County Waterworks and the Palmdale Water District.
Plus, explore your artistic side with oversized Paint By Numbers Community
Mural. Simply pick a number, find the corresponding color and do your part to
complete this beautiful design.
 International Market
Your Festival ticket is the only passport you'll need to experience the exotic sights and sounds of African, Australian, Aborigine, Caribbean, Celtic, Columbian, Irish, Latin American, Mexican, Scottish, and Welsh cultures, among others. Dancers, musicians, and performers will enchant you
with their unique cultural traditions, arts, and games. If you've always dreamed

 Jest In Time Circus
Animals aren’t the only festival performers who will amaze you with their
acrobatic talents; Topper Todd and Li Li Zucchini are an exceptional entertaining
duo who combine juggling, physical and verbal comedy, tight-wire walking,
amazing stunts and dog tricks into a dynamic show. Visit the Jest in Time
Circus of Fools arena in the Adventure Zone to enjoy
this zany performance.
 Museum Land: California Missions
California’s 21 missions are standing reminders of an earlier time when
the Spanish were colonizing California. They teach us of the introduction of
Europeans to the California Native Americans, and the struggles that both
groups would endure. Learn about the architecture and life in these modern
day treasures with the Lancaster Museum’s mission exhibit. If your kids
have a school mission project, this is one exhibit you won’t want to miss!
 Prehistoric Poppy Land
Step back 200 million years to a time when dinosaurs roamed North America.
This fanciful exhibit features a variety of nearly life-sized dinosaurs. Kids can
participate in an archeological expedition, walk in the footprints of dinosaurs,
and even compare themselves to ancient "cave people."
 Safety Zone
Drop by the Safety Zone and take advantage of free information about home and personal security and fire safety. There will be great tips and demonstrations presented by the Sheriff’s Department, Lancaster’s Public Safety Department and the "Jaws of Life" by the LA County Fire Department.

Local artists add a very special and colorful touch to the Poppy Festival
each year by created customized pieces displaying local wildflowers or
a specific aspect of Antelope Valley history. Strolling though the Festival
grounds is like exploring an art show.
